Intelligent, handsome and as sweet as sugar, Toffee would be a real treat for anyone who enjoys getting outside and going on adventures. Although he can be a little shy at first; once Toffee has got to know you, he's ready to jump in the car and head off exploring the great outdoors. Toffee will need to visit your home multiple times, to make sure he settles in really well, for this reason potential owners must live no more than half an hour from the rehoming centre.
We feel Toffee would be best suited to a quiet, adult-only home. He enjoys his humans company but can take a little time to settle into a new routine. He will need calm, patient owners who can give him plenty of space and time to do this. Toffee will initially need someone around throughout the day while he finds his feet/paws. This lovely lad prefers the company of his two-legged friends, so he's looking for a human-only home where he can soak up all the love. Toffee's dream home would have his own good-sized, secure garden with no neighbouring dogs; where he can relax, explore and play safely off-lead. Because he can become anxious around other dogs, Toffee will need to be walked in an area where interactions with other dogs can be kept to an absolute minimum.
Toffee has been trained to wear a muzzle when out and about; and the positive, reward-based approach we have taken with this training means he sees this as no different from having his harness and lead put on. He will need owners who are comfortable with this and can continue this practice in his new home.
In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continueour vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd liketo help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
