Timber has not had the best start to life and is seeking a loving, patient family who can show him what it is like to be in a safe and secure home. Having only ever lived outdoors, Timber would like his family to appreciate that everything within the home will be new to him, although it is very likely that he will relish his home comforts. Timber has a sweet yet sensitive nature, and will make a loving companion in the right new home. Food is currently the best way to win this handosme boy's heart as he has not yet come to terms with how fun toys can be.
Timber's family would benefit from some level of breed knowledge or experience, but first and foremost must be able to offer him a calm and loving environment with plenty of patience whilst he adjusts to his new way of life. Timber will need his introduction to the home to be gradual and with plenty of understanding from his humans that sights, sounds and objects are likely to be completely novel to him. To begin with, Timber's time left alone should be no longer than 1 hour as he has never before been left to his own devices within a home. This gorgeous boy may have a few things to learn, but is guaranteed to be a very rewarding project to see flourish over time.
Timber is seeking a calm and quiet adult-only home where he will be given ample time to settle before too much is asked of him. He may be able to live with another dog, and is likely to benefit from a confident canine companion to help him settle in. Areas such as basic obedience and confidence-building will require some time investing by Timber's family, so lots of high-value treats should be supplied in the home whilst these are mastered! As part of Timber's adoption process, our team will talk his family through settling a dog into a home who has not yet been fortunate enough to experience this wonderful way of life.
In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continueour vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd liketo help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
