Spud is a great little lad who needs very understanding and patient owners who will give him the chance to prove himself. He's 6 years old and once he has firmed a bond with you he'll show you his bubbly and affectionate personality. Sadly Spud lacks in confidence and can get very stressed in unfamiliar situations. Due to his worries he cannot live with children and would prefer to be the only pet. Spud will need to be exercised in quiet areas without many other dogs present and away from busy roads.
Spuds new home must be in a calm and quiet area where he will be able to relax, too much hustle and bustle will leave him very much on edge. He'll need a secure garden so he has somewhere to play off lead. There must be no visitors during his settling in period and very few thereafter. Spud really struggles being left alone and forms a very strong attachement to one person. He will need somebody around all of the time for the long term and his owner must be prepared to work with our training team to continue his progress in the home.
Spud is not able to meet you in person at the moment but is still ready to find his new home. Please get in touch with our staff to register your interest. Unfortunately Spud is not overly fond of travelling so his new home must be within a 30 minute drive of the Leeds rehoming centre.
In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continueour vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd liketo help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
