Due to current restrictions, I can't go to my forever home just yet, but you can contact the rehoming centre to register your interest. When restrictions ease, and if we're a suitable match, you will be able to discuss me in more detail with my carers at the centre. Thank you so much for your interest in me.
Sidney is an adorable five-year-old large Crossbreed who's looking for his special forever home. This handsome lad will need to be the only pet in the home but could have calm walking buddies when out and about. He's a lovely lad, but we recommend that any children in the home are aged sixteen upwards due to his size and sensitive nature. Sidney could potentially be left for a period, once he's been given time to settle into his new home. Once settled, any time alone would need to be built up gradually. Due to strong breed traits, Sidney is being trained to wear a muzzle when he's out and about. He will need owners who are comfortable to continue this in his new home. The positive, reward-based approach we have taken with this training means he sees this as no different from having his harness and lead put on before heading out for a walk. Being an outside kinda guy, Sidney would like a good-size, secure garden where he can explore and play safely off-lead.
The epitome of a gentle giant, Sidney enjoys nothing more than getting outside for a gentle plod where he can have a good sniff and explore his environment. He's a charming, gentle lad who likes to be in the company of his friends. It can take him a little while to get to know new people, but as long as you take it slow and at his pace, Sidney soon comes around, and you'll have a guaranteed new BFF.
In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continueour vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd liketo help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
