Rocky is a beautiful bouncy 6 year old Trailhound. He enjoys exploring all our exercise compounds and playing enrichment games that his Canine Carers make him. He has some canine friends that he enjoys walking with but does like to have his own space to go and explore, and he is quite strong on the lead. Rocky loves his food and treats which will help with his ongoing training. He can be a little unsure when meeting new people and needs to be given a little time and space to get to know you.
Rocky is looking for an active, patient adult only home that will give him time to settle. Our behaviour team will offer advice and support around settling him in. Rocky needs to be the only pet in the home and cannot live with cats. He must have direct access to his own secure garden that he can spend his time exploring and he will need some ongoing training. His new family will need to meet him multiple times before he goes home, and he will also need home visits with our behaviour team to help him settle in, so potential adopters must live within a 45 minute drive of the Canterbury Rehoming Centre.
*Due to current restrictions, I can't go to my forever home just yet, but you can contact the rehoming centre to register your interest. When restrictions ease, and if we're a suitable match, you will be able to discuss me in more detail with my carers at the centre. Thank you so much for your interest in me! * If Rocky sounds like your perfect match please get in contact to express an interest. Please note if you rent your property you must be able to provide written permission from your landlord to keep a dog to complete the rehome process. Due to expected high levels of interest you will only hear back from us if we are able to proceed with your application. We will conduct a rehoming interview with successful applicants and home visit via video. Access to emails and video technology will be essential for this process.
In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continueour vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd liketo help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
