PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID RESTRICTIONS WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO CONSIDER APPLICATIONS WITHIN A 1 HOUR DRIVE FROM OUR CENTRE (WR11 7RT). Having come from a home environment, Rocky is rather confused by kennel life. He is a friendly chap who far prefers human company to the company of other dogs. Rocky is an intelligent boy and will happily show off his best 'sit' and 'paw' for a tasty reward. He enjoys playing with soft toys but does tend to get rather distracted by anything going on around him!
Rocky is seeking an active lifestyle where he can be given lots of opportunities to exercise both his brain and body. He would benefit from a low dog populated area as seeing other dogs out and about causes him some level of distress. Breed experience and knowledge will be very important for Rocky's family, and extra consideration will need to be given as Rocky has proven to be quite an accomplished escape artist! Rocky is looking forward to re-establishing his home comforts with a loving new family. He would benefit from a rural home where he can explore the world around him without feeling overwhelmed.
Rocky can share his home with children of secondary school age, although if there are dog-savvy children in the home who are younger, our team will evaluate this on a case-by-case basis. Rocky would like to be the only pet in the home, and will need further work in terms of his behaviour around other dogs. Travelling in the car is no problem for Rocky, and he can be left for a few hours at a time to his own devices.
In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continueour vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd liketo help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
