To apply to rehome Percy, please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Applications will close when a suitable match has been found. PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID RESTRICTIONS WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO CONSIDER APPLICATIONS WITHIN A 1 HOUR DRIVE FROM OUR CENTRE (WR11 7RT). A perky little package, Percy is sure to be popular, but beyond his adorable face is a far more complex character than originally meets the eye. Percy loves his toys and would like his very own collection in his new home to run around around with. He is a friendly chap who loves human interaction with people who he knows and trusts, although this does take a while to establish. For someone seeking a playful companion and a project dog, Percy is the perfect match.

Type of home needed

Percy will be seeking a low to medium amount of physical exercise as although he is eager to get involved in plenty of goings-on, his breed needs to be considered. Percy's family will benefit from some level of behavioural experience, and will need to appreciate that time will have to be dedicated to a few areas of training. Percy tries his best to be housetrained, and his time left alone ought to be built-up gradually over time from around 4 hours in the early days. Percy has megaesophagus which means that careful consideration will need to be given in terms of his handling and his feeding plan. Because of this, anyone wishing to take him on will need to be able to cover any potential future medical costs.

More about me

Percy is seeking a home where he will be the only pet, and would like to request that only adults live in his home. Percy is currently being muzzle trained in a positive way at the Centre as he will need this to be worn when visiting the vets. As part of his adoption process, several visits to the Centre will be required and all of his training programmes wil be talked through by our expert team.
