Penny is a beautiful one-year-old tan crossbreed. She is young, lively, bouncy and playful. Penny loves to play with toys, she is all about the chase at the moment, she enjoys running after the toys but hasn't yet mastered bringing them back. Penny loves to go for long walks and when out and about she likes to socialise with other dogs. She plods along nice and gently on her lead, but she does have a high chase drive. (after birds etc) Penny enjoys a fuss, she knows a 'sit', she is housetrained and happy to travel in the car.
Penny is looking for an active, loving home. She will need to be the only dog in the home. She is looking for a home without any cats or small furries and care will be needed around livestock. Penny has good history around children, but she does jump up. She could live with dog savvy children as young as eleven. She could cope with a reasonably busy home environment and she would like her adopters with her for the majority of the time. Time left alone will need to be built up gradually.
We are currently operating our 'Handover at Home' process (see https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/rehoming/faqs/ for more information) and in order to facilitate this, we are unable to accept applications from people who live more than 2 hours' drive from the Rehoming Centre. If you think you are able to offer the home that this dog is looking for, please contact us on 01271 812709 to request an application form. We will get in touch with successful applications, but we hope you understand that we might not have time to contact every application. Please keep checking our website for more dogs looking for their forever homes.
