Monty was handed in as a stray – he was abandoned by his owner when they moved and the new owner of the property did not want him. Thankfully, concerned neighbours handed him in as he had been wandering for a while. We were initially told that he was about three years old but, after intensive investigation by the branch, was found to be nine! Monty was very wary of people at first but once his fosterer gained his trust, turned out to be a big, friendly bear of a cat. He likes to be stroked and brushed but is not too keen on being picked up. He will accept cuddles and affection on his own terms. He likes nothing more than to curl up somewhere warm and sleep. He gets out of bed for food and treats and has the occasional play with his toy mouse. He is quite content in his own way – but I am sure he would appreciate a nice warm house (without other cats) where, he could come and go as he pleases.Monty would be a superb companion. If you could offer this big lad a home, please contact us to find out more.
