To apply to rehome Lewis please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Applications will close when a suitable match has been found. PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID RESTRICTIONS WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO CONSIDER APPLICATIONS WITHIN A 1 HOUR DRIVE FROM OUR CENTRE (WR11 7RT). Lewis has an incredible amount of potential and is looking for a family who are willing to maximise this the best they can. He LOVES his walks and training sessions, and really does enjoy having things to keep him busy. This bright boy has already mastered a long list of tricks, inlcuding: sit, paw, down, speak, back-up and many more! Being so bright, Lewis must be offered a lifestyle that can keep him mentally and physically exercised enough for him to be happy and healthy.

Type of home needed

Lewis's home will need to have a secure garden with high fences for him to explore safely. Due to his sensitivities around sounds, Lewis must live somewhere very quiet, away from roads, parks, schools and other areas that may cause him upset. It will be important for Lewis' family to be able to read his body language, and to appreciate that it may take a little time for Lewis to feel completely settled in his new home. A rural home with plenty of options for quiet countryside walks on the doorstep would be top of Lewis' wishlist, as well as the promise of lots of training sessions and chances to show off his skills.

More about me

We are looking to rehome Lewis no further than 1 hour from our Centre; this will help ensure that our team are near enough to Lewis' family to provide ongoing behavioural support. Lewis is seeking an adult-only home where he can be the only pet. He does however enjoy socialising with other dogs out and about and would love to have canine companions in the local area to go for adventures with. Several meets will be required before Lewis is fully comfortable with his new family. It will be crucial for anyone looking to offer Lewis a home to be able to commit to a slightly longer rehoming process than would be the case for some of our other residents.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continueour vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd liketo help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
