Jamie (3) is an ex-racing Greyhound who has retired from the sport and is looking for a permanent home to park his paws. He may not have lived in a house before and will need patient owners who can be around all the time initially to help him adjust. A secure enclosed garden is a must so he can perfect his house training skills and have an area for off lead exercise. Jamie should be fine with children 16 and over.
Jamie is lovely to walk and is happy to wear his muzzle when out and about. He will happily walk along side other dogs as long as they aren't too OTT or in his face and give him a little space. He would prefer to be the only pet in the home. We have successfully re-homed lots of ex-racing Greyhounds throughout the pandemic as they have lovely laid back natures and usually adjust quickly to being in a home. All they need is a big comfy bed or arm chair and a little TLC.
Jamie is ready for his new home now. Due to lockdown restrictions his new owners must live less than an hours drive from the Leeds centre.
In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continueour vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd liketo help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
