Handsome Hudson has had a rather inconsistent life so far, but is looking forward to finally landing in his forever home very soon. He's a sweet chap who loves his toys and a fuss once he trusts you. Hudson has already captured many hearts at the Centre, and is hoping to do the same with a new forever family. He is very typical of his breed, and will need his family to have a good understanding of lurchers and dog body language. Not only has Hudson been blessed with good looks, but he is also a really bright boy who loves learning new things. Hudson has already mastered 'sit', 'paw' and 'down', and definitely has the potential to master new skills once a bond has been built with his family.
Hudson has lived in a home before and can happily be left for around 4 hours at a time. He will be looking for a medium amount of physical exercise as despite his age, he is always raring to go on his next adventure. Hudson's family will benefit from some level of breed experience, and will need to be able to dedicate time to his ongoing training in a few areas. As his body language can be conflicting, our team will talk Hudson's family through this during meets at the Centre. According to Hudson's history, he is happy to jump in the car and travel further afield. He can struggle when seeig other dogs from a distance, however Hudson has enjoyed some lovely walks here with a selection of canine companions who have a calm nature.
Hudson is looking for an adult-only home with minimal visitors as he finds meeting new people rather overwhelming. He will not be able to share his home with other pets, but would far rather enjoy the quiet life to himself. When out and about, Hudson is required to wear his muzzle which he is happy and comfortable wearing; This is due to his high chase drive and to keep him safe. Following Hudson's unsettled past, is it likely that he may take a little time to settle into a new forever home; He is seeking extra special humans who can nurture him through and prove to him that every dog has his day, no matter how long it can take.
