Evie came into our care when her elderly owner sadly passed away. Evie was very unsettled when she first arrived with us and had an unpredictable temperament. She has now spent time in a foster home where they have got to know Evie and her personality better. Evie is bold, friendly and assertive, she likes to be near you and will get under your feet a lot, she does have anxiety that can be triggered by noises or sudden unexpected movements. Evie tends to run towards things she is frightened of including people if they startle her which can be a bit alarming. However when relaxed Evie is sweet and loves to spend hours in the evening curled on a lap. Evie has got some different behaviours she shows due to her anxiety, this can include over grooming and other various behavioural problems, sometimes she will bite if startled, we are working with our behaviour and veterinary teams to try to find the best ways to help Evie and would like to continue doing this with her new owner after adoption to make sure Evie has the best chance to settle in well. Her new owners need to be fully prepared for Evie's "special" ways and be experienced cat owners. Evie is looking for an adult only home as the only pet.
