I am currently looking for my new family. To apply to rehome me please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Captain will need to meet his new family at the centre before going home. Due to current government guidelines we cannot make appointments for you to meet dogs at the centre but we can register your interest to meet them for when restrictions ease.
Handsome Captain is looking for a home as special as he is who can meet his multiple needs. He is profoundly deaf so situations most dogs take for granted, he finds challenging. Captain can be very reactive to dogs out and about and is worried by strangers so, he will need a home where this can be easily managed. He is starting to learn sign language which is helping him to progress his training! This training will need to be continued in the home. Captain is a sweet lad who deserves a chance to find his forever home.
Captain is looking for a family who have experience of deaf dogs and who are willing to come and meet him here at the centre a number of times to help build up a bond with him before taking him home. He will need an adult only family with no visiting children and few visiting adults. He must have a secure garden as he cannot be let off lead as he has no recall. Captain will need someone at home with him most of the time to begin with to help him settle in to his new home and not live with other pets.
