Buddy is a handsome five-year-old brindle coloured Lurcher. He has a sweet, gentle nature with every human he meets. He is affectionate and enjoys a fuss. Buddy enjoys going for walks and plods along nicely on his lead. Buddy requires, and happily wears a muzzle for walks. He can make carefully selected dog friends if mixed slowly and gradually, with no forced interactions. Buddy will need quiet walks and confidence building when it comes to socialising with other dogs. Buddy enjoys playing with toys and he loves treats. Buddy knows a sit, down and paw. He is happy to travel in the car and he is housetrained.
Buddy is looking for a loving home with fairly experienced dog owners. He has good history around young children and could therefore share his home with children as young as six. Buddy will need to be the only dog in the home. He could cope with a reasonably busy household but will need access to quiet walks. Buddy's training needs will be covered by our centre training team before adoption to ensure his new adopters are willing and equipped to carry on.
We are currently operating our 'Handover at Home' process (see https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/rehoming/faqs/ for more information) and in order to facilitate this, we are unable to accept applications from people who live more than 2 hours' drive from the Rehoming Centre. If you think you are able to offer the home that this dog is looking for, please contact us on 01271 812709 to request an application form. We will get in touch with successful applications, but we hope you understand that we might not have time to contact every application. Please keep checking our website for more dogs looking for their forever homes.
